Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Overview

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides an intensive, structured treatment option for individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. This program offers a blend of therapeutic services and medical support while allowing participants to return home in the evenings, promoting recovery within a real-world context.

Program Features

Intensive therapy sessions and activities conducted five days a week, typically for several hours each day.
Initial and ongoing assessments to tailor individualized treatment plans addressing both substance use and mental health concerns.
Regular sessions with licensed therapists, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and other evidence-based practices.
Access to medical professionals for medication management, psychiatric evaluations, and ongoing health monitoring.
Incorporation of holistic approaches such as mindfulness, art therapy, yoga, and physical exercise to support overall well-being.
Family therapy sessions and educational programs to strengthen family dynamics and support systems.

Specialized courses aimed at improving parenting skills, enhancing parent-child relationships, and providing strategies for effective communication and discipline.

What you need to know!

Admission Criteria

Applicants must have a primary diagnosis of substance use disorder, validated through clinical assessments.
Individuals with stable co-occurring mental health conditions are eligible, provided they can engage in structured daytime treatment.
A clinical assessment must indicate that a level 2.5 PHP is appropriate, generally for those needing substantial support but not requiring 24/7 residential care.
A supportive and stable home environment is necessary for participants to benefit fully from the program, which will be provided in our transitional housing.
Prospective residents should demonstrate a willingness to participate actively in the treatment process and commit to the program’s rules and expectations.

Program Guidelines

Participants are expected to attend all scheduled therapy sessions, group activities, and appointments consistently.
Participants must commit to maintaining sobriety and avoiding substance use during the program.
Any prescribed medications must be taken as directed under the supervision of medical staff.
Participants must maintain respectful and non-disruptive behavior towards staff and peers.
Respect for the confidentiality of other participants is essential. Personal information shared within the program must remain private.
Participation in family therapy and educational sessions is encouraged to support the recovery process.
Limited and supervised use of personal electronic devices during program hours to ensure focus on treatment.

Adherence to the daily schedule, punctuality, and participation in all program components is mandatory to foster a structured and effective treatment environment.

Aftercare Planning

Development of a comprehensive aftercare plan to ensure continued support post-discharge, including referrals to outpatient programs, support groups, and community resources.
